Shiksha Aapke Dwar is a flagship initiative by Hunar Shakti Foundation, launched with a powerful vision to make education accessible to children who are deprived of learning opportunities due to extreme poverty and displacement. The program aims to provide educational materials, books, school bags, stationery, and financial assistance to over one lakh children, especially those belonging to laborer families affected by economic hardships.
The COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted the livelihoods of millions of workers across the country, particularly those in the informal sector. This crisis forced many children of daily wage laborers to drop out of school due to financial struggles and a lack of stability. Even today, many labor families are engaged in migratory work like brick kiln construction in rural and remote areas, where they lack even basic shelter—let alone access to schools. Recognizing this urgent need, the foundation launched Shiksha Aapke Dwar to ensure that education reaches even the most inaccessible corners where these children live.
To make this vision a reality, Hunar Shakti Foundation is working towards launching a unique ‘School on Wheels’—a mobile school bus equipped with smart classes and learning resources. This innovative solution will travel to remote areas where conventional schools are out of reach, delivering not just academic education but also hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging. Proposals for this mobile education project have already been forwarded to potential CSR partners and donors to seek the necessary funding.
This program doesn’t just aim to teach—it aims to transform lives. By taking education to the doorsteps of the most vulnerable children, Shiksha Aapke Dwar is playing a vital role in bridging the educational divide and ensuring that no child is left behind. The foundation invites individuals, organizations, and corporates to support this mission and become a part of this journey to build an educated, empowered, and inclusive India.
